About Sarah

Sarah Gudeman strives to learn and do more. To go above and beyond expectations, develop innovative project-specific solutions, and think outside the box. To always ask "why?" AND "why not?"

Her interest in and passion for the environment began in early childhood when her father was the Director/Naturalist at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center in Austin, MN (the place of Sarah's birth). The family relocated to Omaha, NE in 1988 when her father took a job with the Nature Conservancy. This and their history of being in and learning about the outdoors provides a logical bridge to Sarah's interest in green buildings, care for creation, sustainable design, health and wellness. With an open mind, clear communication, technical mindset, and engineering problem-solving, Sarah is a high achiever with an internal drive to improve the world by building community through heart-centered leadership. Actively pursuing the inner work that preceeds affecting change though moral clarity, analysis, and empathetic strategy.

Sarah is highly motivated to improve the indoor environments in which we work, play and sleep - through integrative design, building performance modeling, sustainability consulting, project management, indoor environmental testing, and commissioning. She has worked on all types of commercial buildings: corporate real estate, K-12, higher education, multifamily, entertainment, institutional, recreational, and everything in between. Sarah has also provided mechanical design and consulting for all types of clients, from local nonprofits to Fortune 500 executives, and welcomes new and challenging opportunities and experiences.

In 2021, along with 20 other individuals from around the world, Sarah was awarded the prestigious designation of LEED Fellow. She has also been honored by her alma mater, Marian High School, with the Sr. Marcella Alumni Leadership Award, recognized by the Midlands Business Journal as a "40 Under 40" recepient, a "20 to Watch: Women in HVAC", Young Professional of the Year by ACEC Nebraska, and "Volunteer of the Year" by USGBC Nebraska Flatwater Chapter. She was also selected to participate in Leadership Omaha Class 45, a program of the Greater Omaha Chamber that recognizes invididuals dedicated to building a strong and resilient local community.

Sarah is actively involved in many professional and personal volunteering efforts both locally and nationally, which are detailed on her LinkedIn page (social links below).
